The Dashboard is your shop at a glance: how many cars are in, which rentals are costing you money, what’s urgent, and how the sales team is doing. The Garage is the board of every car, one column per stage, that you can search and filter. Activity is the timeline of who did what across the shop.
Who can do this
- Dashboard and Garage: every team member, on every plan. Sales reps and technicians only see the cars they’re on or entered themselves (unless the Owner turns on See all claims for them).
- Dollar amounts on the Dashboard (Drops this week, Payroll owed, the Drops paid chart): members who can see financials.
- Dragging cars between stages on the Garage board: Owner or Manager.
- Activity page and the notification bell: members with the Activity feed permission (on by default for Owner, Manager, Admin and Front desk).
Steps
Read the Dashboard
- In the left menu, click Dashboard.
- Use the search bar to jump straight into the garage by customer, vehicle or claim number.
- Use the quick action buttons (such as New claim, Garage, Payroll, Team or Leaders) to get around.
- The number cards show Active claims and In repair, and for people who see financials, Drops this week and Payroll owed. Click a card to open the page behind the number.
- The Garage card shows how many cars are in each stage. Click a stage to open the garage filtered to it.
- Work these first lists rentals that need attention: shop-paid rentals, longest in the shop first, and any rental due back within 2 days or overdue. Click one to open the claim.
- Urgent tasks lists high-importance tasks that can be done now. Sales leaderboard shows this month’s cars and drops per rep.
Use the Garage board
- In the left menu, click Garage (the badge shows how many cars are in the shop).
- Each column is a stage: New, Estimate Submitted, Supplement Submitted, Approved, In Repair, At Body Shop, Ready, Delivered and Total Loss.
- Each card shows the customer, vehicle, RO number, checklist progress, the sales rep and tech, the claim number, a rental chip (Insurance or Shop pays) and how many days the car has been in the shop.
- Type in the search box to find a car by customer, vehicle, RO or claim number. Use the dropdowns to filter by stage, storm or insurance company.
- Switch between Garage (the board) and List (a table) with the buttons under the search box.
- Click a card to open a quick view, then click Open claim to go to the full claim.
- Owners and managers can drag a card to another column to change its stage. Drag toward the edge of the board to scroll it to the next columns. Moving a car to Total Loss asks you to confirm with Mark Total Loss.
Keep an eye on rentals
- When creating a claim, choose No rental, Insurance pays or Shop pays under Rental car.
- On the claim’s Tasks tab, the Rental card lets you change that choice and fill in the Check out day, Due back, Reservation and Agreement #. Changes save by themselves. With Shop pays, the rental invoice must be entered as an expense before the car can be cleared for payroll.
- The Dashboard’s Work these first card then flags shop-paid rentals and any rental that is due back soon or overdue.
See shop activity
- Click the bell at the top of the page (a red number shows new events since you last looked) to see the latest events under “What happened”. Click View all for the full list.
- Or click Activity in the left menu. Every event shows what happened, who did it and when, with a link to the claim.
- For one car only, open the claim’s Activity tab.
Good to know
- Days in shop turns red at 14 days so stale cars stand out.
- Press Ctrl+K (or ⌘K on a Mac) anywhere to jump to the garage search.
- A shop-paid rental must have its rental invoice entered as an expense before the car can be cleared for payroll.
- Moving a car to a new stage never emails the customer. Customer updates are sent by hand from the claim’s Emails tab.
- The phone app’s Home and Garage tabs show the same numbers, stages, filters and rental flags.
