Dent Shop Manager includes a full video training program taught by the founder, in two courses: the PDR Sales Training Program (door-to-door hail sales, from the first knock to closing) and PDR Shop Owner Training (running your own shop, from leases and adjusters to scoping cars and hiring). Each person’s progress is saved as they watch, and owners and managers can see who has finished what.
Who can do this
- Annual plan and up (Annual, and the DSM Negotiator plan, which includes Annual). Shops on Free or Monthly see an upgrade panel instead.
- Every team member can watch the lessons.
- The Team progress view: Owner or Manager.
Steps
Watch a lesson
- In the left menu, click Training.
- Pick a course at the top. Each course shows how many lessons you’ve finished and its total length.
- Click Start (or Continue to pick up where you left off), or click any lesson in the list.
- The video plays on the right. When it ends, the lesson is marked complete and a Next button takes you to the next lesson.
- You can also click Mark complete at any time (it then shows Completed). Some lessons are reading lessons instead of videos.
Check your team’s progress (Owner or Manager)
- On the Training page, click Team.
- The table shows each member, their progress in each course and their last activity.
Good to know
- Videos stream securely and can’t be downloaded. They’re for your team’s eyes only.
- Your place in a video is saved as you watch, so you can stop and come back later.
- The phone app has the same courses: open Training from the Home screen. Owners and managers can tap Team progress.
